Your Journey With Us

Founded in 2009 in Tepoztlán, IbogaQuest is a sacred medicine sanctuary where uncompromising medical safety meets deep psychotherapeutic care and contemplative practice.

We intentionally host just 1 small group each month, with a maximum of 7 participants. This ensures our team can be fully present and deeply attuned to each person, creating a private, intimate setting where you are genuinely seen, supported, and cared for at every step of your journey.

Entering ibogaine treatment is a profound decision. We honor that step by guiding each person through a careful and highly supported process, one designed not only for safety and readiness, but for meaningful, lasting integration.

Healing unfolds

in environments where people feel protected, welcomed, and met exactly as they are. Our program is intentionally designed as a home-like container rather than a clinical facility, carefully held so that each person can arrive without performance, without pressure, and without fear.

Here, guests step into genuine community. You are offered structure without rigidity, choice without chaos, and guidance without control. The connections formed here often extend far beyond the retreat itself, becoming part of a longer journey of healing and belonging.

1. Application & Medical Screening
juan & inke

If you feel called to work with us, the first step is to complete our online application. This helps us understand your history, intentions, and medical background.

Within 72 hours, a team member will personally review your application and respond. We will let you know whether we believe we are a good fit, discuss any potential contraindications, and share available retreat dates.

2. Intake Call & Treatment Planning

If appropriate, we schedule a call to explore your goals, health history, expectations, and questions in more depth. This is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of us and how we work.

We believe this is a mutual process: both you and our team should feel aligned before moving forward.

3. Reserving Your Space

When you feel ready to commit to a retreat date, you can secure your space with a 20,000 MXN deposit ($1,000USD). You will then receive detailed preparation guidelines and next steps.

*If for any reason our medical team later determines that treatment would not be safe for you,

your deposit will be fully refunded.

4. Medical Clearance

Safety is our highest priority.

Before final confirmation, we require medical tests completed within three months of your retreat:

Blood pressure reading

EKG (including graph)

Complete Blood Count (CBC)

Basic Metabolic Panel

General urine test

Liver function test

*If you are over 60 or have specific medical conditions, additional testing (such as a heart stress test) may be required.

5. Preparation Sessions

Our protocol includes preparation sessions with one of our psychotherapists or coaches to help you arrive grounded, informed, and clear in your intentions.

During these calls, we:

Clarify what you are seeking

Support you in preparing mentally and emotionally

Shape realistic expectations

Address questions or concerns

Review informed consent and what you can expect from us

Ibogaine affects each person differently. We focus on helping you cultivate an open, receptive attitude and connect with your inner resources before arrival.
