Ibogaine and the multiple alkaloids of Iboga influence many elements of the body, mind and spirit, in addition to addiction interruption. There are situations where-in the effective application of the Ibogaine session is only a part of that which leads to “success”.
There are also instances where it seems that a “booster” of additional Ibogaine, in much smaller doses, is called for. For Iboga Quest this is a new protocol and we therefore apply it in carefully selected instances. Such a session would also require your extended stay.
So after the customary 3-5 days of the Ibogaine session, if it is appropriate to stay longer, we will help you assess what arrangements may best suit your needs and capabilities. So when you call, be sure to discuss your needs and concerns.
Plan your integration. Integration is the key to achieving the full long term benefits of Ibogaine therapy be it for mood disorders or substance addiction.
Aftercare by Inspace Recovery
Inscape Recovery is a six-week Ibogaine aftercare program for those who wish to continue and deepen their process of transformation in a structured and supportive setting. Inscape is run out of a charming eco-retreat center and permaculture farm, located just two hours from Tepoztlan in the mountains of Malinalco.
Participants can take advantage of the post-Ibogaine period of heightened sensitivity and “neuroplasticity” through the array of therapies that Inscape offers, which are designed to improve health, produce deep reflection and lock in new habits. Services include medical appointments with acupuncture, herbal supplementation, individual and group psychotherapy, traditional medicine ceremonies and classes geared toward mental and bodily health and awareness.
Being so extraordinary, why doesn’t Ibogaine work in 100% of cases?
Some people have hidden viruses or unconscious self sabotage programs returning to reinstall the dependence program.
Imagine a floating iceberg in the Arctic Ocean. The seventh part floating on the surface, represents your conscious mind, there it is your idea of leaving your dependency. The other six parts that are sunken, represent your unconscious mind.
Down there, there are, first, trends or forces that do not want you to come out of your addiction and, on the other hand, there are also some other forces you can use to completely abandon your dependencies. The correlation between these unconscious forces determines the success of the iboga treatment.
What should I do to make iboga work for me?
You must identify if this master plant is your exit door or your entrance door. There are people who come to Iboga Quest in a phase of their lives in which, through psychotherapy or vital experiences, already had identified and neutralized much of their self-sabotage viruses. For them iboga treatment is the exit door that definitely leads them out of the addiction. There are other people who have not “bottomed out” or who have not worked enough with themselves to remove these viruses. For them iboga can be the entrance door to their healing path if they take advantage of the physical and mental respite afforded to them, and then start an effective psychotherapeutic program to help them see what they have not seen in order to reprogram their habits.
What kind of self-sabotage viruses exist?
There are several traumatic events or conditions that predispose to addiction, here are some:
How are self sabotage viruses deactivated?
The first step is to identify them. Sometimes you can do it on your own and sometimes professional help is required to achieve it. Once you have seen them, you need to do some work in order to overcome them. This can also be made on your own or seeking appropriate professional advice. Depending on the case, you can look for a psychotherapist, a Family Constellations facilitator, a sex therapist, a counselor, a priest, a self-help group, and so on.
If I need help, who I can turn to?
Trust your therapist so he or she can help you to identify your self-sabotage viruses and then you can work together or you can be derived to the right professional to receive the right treatment you need.

I am a professional psychotherapist, long time meditator and licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor with a personal and professional interest in ibogaine spanning over ten years. Having tasted Iboga, I know it to be a powerful and unique medicine. Clearly, those who go to the trouble and expense to seek out the ibogaine experience are motivated to grow and for such brave and fortunate people, change is inevitable. However, patterns are stubborn and maximizing this potent opportunity is not simple. With genuine respect for the treatment and those being treated, I am available via SKYPE to those who might benefit from follow-up therapy sessions.
